Nelson Mandela remembered in pictures

Today marks four years since former president, Nelson Mandela, passed away.

POLOKWANE – Today, four years ago, Nelson Mandela passed away in his home in Houghton, Johannesburg.

He died at the age of 95 after battling a recurring lung infection.

Mandela, while increasingly politically involved from 1942, only joined the African National Congress in 1944 when he helped to form the ANC Youth League (ANCYL).
