JUST IN: ANC Limpopo nominate Cyril Ramaphosa as preferred presidential candidate

The announcement was made at Bolivia Lodge in Polokwane this afternoon.

POLOKWANE – With 391 nominations, the ANC in Limpopo have chosen as Cyril Ramaphosa as their preferred presidential candidate.

The province’s Special Provincial General Council took place at Bolivia Lodge today.

Delagates included Limpopo Premier, Stanley Mathabatha as well as Deputy Secretary-General of the ANC, Jessie Duarte, among others.

Ramaphosa came out tops above Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, who received 104 nominations.

Their preferred Deputy President candidate is Lindiwe Sisulu, who received 189 nominations.

The ANC will host its 54th National Conference from the 16 to the 20 December 2017 in Gauteng, where Ramaphosa and Dlamini-Zuma will go head to head in the race to be the next president of the ANC.
