The 33-year-old, stationed at Saselamani police station was arrested on Thursday, 30 November 2017.

POLOKWANE –  According to Provincial Hawks spokesperson, Captain Matimba Maluleke, the suspect allegedly demanded R1200 from the suspect whom he had arrested, for possession of suspected stolen property, in exchange for bail.

It was further alleged that the suspect went to the complainant’s wife and took R1200 that he had demanded.

“The complainant reported the matter to the police after his bail was fixed to R30 000 instead of R1200. The suspect was arrested by the Hawks’ Serious Corruption Unit members and he will appear before the Malamulele Magistrate court on charges of corruption,” Maluleke concluded.
