Kgopotso trades his way to the top

Kgopotso Mmatlane is making his way as a budding Forex trader and he is funding his interests as a DJ through this venture.

POLOKWANE – The 22-year-old from Praktiseer in Burgersfort dropped out as a local governance finance student who decided to switch to economic management analysis after being introduced to Forex trading by a friend.

He decided to pursue his economic management analysis through the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT).

“Forex trading basically encompasses buying and selling foreign currency. What makes it so special is that it is the world’s largest financial market where we as individual traders are given a chance to participate,” said Mmatlane.

Forex trading, he explained, isn’t really as difficult as people make it out to be. The problem comes in, he explained, when the person teaching you only gives you the tools and not the guidance.

“What I love most about Forex trading is that I am able to work from home. My goal is to become a millionaire and gain enough capital to pursue my dreams of being a professional musician. I plan to get enough capital to invest in property and buy stage and sound equipment to resume my career as an artist.” He told BONUS he fell in love with house music in 2008 and when he went to varsity in 2012 he began taking music more seriously. Since he began to explore the trading market, however, his music has taken a back seat.

Mmatlane said his parents were furious when he decided to drop his studies and become a Forex trader. “I still remember when I told them I was not interested in furthering my studies and wanted to venture into Forex trading. Since they have seen me make a success of the venture, however, they have given me their full support,” he explained.
