A new era will dawn for Jack’s Paint and Hardware on Saturday at the official opening of the company’s brand new megastore at 43B 19th Avenue, Industria.
The festivities is expected to start at 08:00 with lots of fun, games and fantastic specials on paint, garden equipment, hardware and many more. “Our suppliers will be exhibiting their products with hourly lucky draws for the customers, Polokwane’s own travelling barista, The Grind, will whip up amazing coffee and boerewors rolls will be on offer. There will also be a jumping castle to keep the kids happy while mom and dad take time to choose a new colour for the kitchen. Customers who spend more than R300 on Saturday will get a coffee or boerewors roll free,” says Francois.
There will also be a training workshop by the chalk paint brand Tjhoko Paint, which will start at 09:00. With only a few more spaces available, interested parties are advised to contact Lizané Diedericks on 015 297 2065 for more information and to book a space.
“At the end of the day, we will have a lucky draw sponsored by Decomax and the winner will win Decomax paint to the value of R4 500,” Francois adds.
Jack’s Paint & Hardware first opened in July 1991 as small paint retail outlet called Pietersburg Paints at 81 Landdros Mare Street in a store measuring only 90 m2. Showing steady growth over the next four years, the company was able to move to a much larger store in Landdros Maré Street where they solely traded in Prominent Paints. During this time the Lessings also opened stores in Bela-Bela, Modimolle and Louis Trichardt which were sold later on.
In 1999 the owners acquired their own premises in Jorissen Street and in 2004 they joined the Jack’s Paint and Hardware franchise, making it possible for them to sell any brand of paint as well as a wide range of hardware specifically for the do-it-yourself market.
The move to 19th Avenue comes 10 years after the Lessings opened Jack’s Paint and Hardware at The Crossing Centre near Savannah Mall. “We now have 1 100 m2 under one roof giving you an even bigger range of paint, accessories, hardware, gardening equipment, fasteners and screws, outdoor stuff, electrical accessories, cement, steel, plumbing fittings and many more,” says Dawie.
With a competent and well trained team behind them, the Lessings are excited about the new store and how they will be able to better serve the community of Polokwane.
“Our grand opening will be something to remember and we invite all our loyal customers as well as potential customers to join us for a day of excitement. We will not disappoint. We encourage customers to come early as the amazing specials are only available while stock lasts,” says Francois.
