Sapa Yopa 9th annual rally set to thrill in Polokwane

The city will be a hub of activity from 1 to 3 December during the Sapa Yopa Motorcycle Club ninth annual rally.

POLOKWANE – Sapa Yopa is the largest motorcycle club in the Southern African Development Community (SADEC) region and the weekend’s various activities will kick off with a gala dinner.

This will be followed by the Sapa Yopa pre-party, Metro FM Heatwave and the main event over the weekend.

The theme for this year’s rally is Embracing all Sports through Biking and residents will be treated to the sight of more than 8 000 bikers riding from the Polokwane Show Grounds.

The Sapa Yopa pre-party and Metro FM Heatwave will see the likes of internationally acclaimed DJs such as Black Coffee, DJ Tira, Lulo Cafe, Malwela, Lerato Kganyago, Amon Mokwena, The most trusted DJ Q-Scotch and Lady T performing at the Polokwane Cricket Club on 1 December.

On 2 December the entertainment line-up will include Big Nuz, Babes Wodumo, Zodwa wa Bantu, Mopedy, Sido and Manana, and many more.

Sapa Yopa President, Johz Captain DyHard Mamabolo, said they expect this year’s rally to be even bigger and better. “We want to build relationships, share, learn with and from each other and get ready to make plans for what comes next in biking. We are living our dreams of cultural diversity with a membership that includes black people, indians, coloured and white people,” he said.

He urged members to actively use the services of wellness programmes to the best of their health. “We can prevent several challenges by living a healthy lifestyle,” he said.

Tickets are available at Computicket for R100. Tickets will be R150 at the gate and R500 for VIP access.
