Tumi Mokwena’s attempted murder case postponed to 2018

The case was postponed to 26 January in the Lebowakgomo Magistrate’s court for the determination of a regional court date.

POLOKWANE – Mokoena was arrested, on four counts of attempted murder, in June after consultations with six clients on the Zebediela Citrus Estate.

A group of workers armed with stones and sticks allegedly confronted Mokoena, accusing him of failing to pay workers while he himself had been part of the farm’s management last year. When workers allegedly blocked his way when he tried to leave, Mokoena allegedly shot at them and injured four employees, with one of the workers sustaining a serious gunshot wound.
