Boy (15) sole survivor of horrific Limpopo car crash

Four people died after the vehicle they were travelling in overturned along the Philadelphia and Moteti road outside Groblersdal on Saturday evening at around 21:57.

LIMPOPO – Police Spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngeope says, it is alleged that an Isuzu double cab with five occupants was travelling along this road when it lost control and overturned. “One person was killed immediately and four  others sustained serious to minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

“A second patient was certified dead on arrival at the hospital and two others died later in the hospital. The fifth patient was treated and discharged,” Ngoepe adds.

The deceased were all from Britz in the North West Province and they were identified as Ntiki Mbethe (57), Montshwa Petrus Phebello (60), Ramaleba Tomas (52),  Molefe D (57) and the survivor is a 15-year-old boy.

The cause of this accident will form part of police investigations. A case of culpable homicide has been opened at the Dennilton Police Station.
