[TAKE NOTE] Water supply to be cut this evening to allow for maintenance on strainer

POLOKWANE – Water supply to parts of the city will be cut to allow for maintenance on a strainer in the pipe line which supplies water from the Ebenezer to Krugersburg reservoirs.

Low water levels in the city’s reservoirs, which results in low water pressure or shortages, continues to affect the high catchment areas like Flora Park, Sterk Park, Bendor, Serala View etc.

To help ensure proper water flow is restored to all reservoirs supplying the residents and business consumers, the Polokwane Municipality will shut-off the water supply from the Ebenezer Plant to the said reservoirs.

The water will be cut off from 20:00 this evening (Thursday, 23 November 2017)  to around 04:00 tomorrow morning (Friday 24 November 2017).

High catchment areas like Flora Park, Sterk Park, Bendor, Serala View etc will be affected. Water users in the low catchment, who will not be affected, are advised to limit water usage to domestic consumption only in order to allow reservoir levels to pick up.

There is a possibility of reopening the system before the planned time.

All water issued should be reported to 0152902629/2376
