Newly elected Gambling Board’s objectives outlined

The newly elected board of the Limpopo Gambling Board is as follows: Lucy Montjane (Deputy Chairperson), Madikgomo Mathabatha (Acting CEO), Elijah Tjiane (Chairperson), Hosi/Adv. Aarone Mahumani, Keleabetswe Tlouane (Ledet Representative), Serobi Maja, Makosha Maditsi, Chipyane Nkadimeng and Magoro Tema (Treasury Representative).

Vision:
The Limpopo Gambling Board envisages a credible, viable and regulated gambling industry in the province, which provides exciting leisure opportunities that contribute to economic development.
Mission:
• To operate in accordance with the highest moral and ethical standards.
• To accept responsibility towards our most important resources, our employees and to maximise the development and utilisation thereof.
• To strive towards a healthy relationship with our stakeholders.
Objectives:
• To promote a culture of responsible gambling in the province. To ensure the eradication of all forms of illegal gambling in the province.
• To ensure a creation of an organisation capable of recruiting, retaining, continuously developing its workforce, and aiming at enhancing its effectiveness and employee well-being.
• To ensure the availability of real time information using technology in support of decision making processes.
• To ensure the board has and maintains an appropriate procurement and provisioning system which is fair, equitable, transparent, competitive and cost effective.
• To ensure the board establishes, implements, and maintains good principles of corporate governance, accounting practices, and sound system of internal control.
• To ensure the board plans and utilises limited resources economically, efficiently and effectively.
