BREAKING NEWS – LIM 368 Municipality makes key appointments

At a special council meeting earlier this morning (Friday), LIM 368 Municipality resolved to make appointments in four pivotal positions.
Democratic Alliance (DA) councillors Dingaan Motswene and Hercules Louw are the new Speaker and Chief Whip, respectively.
The administrative establishment was enforced by the appointments of Henry Lubbe and Kenneth Maluleka as Corporate Services and Planning and Economic Development Managers, respectively. Lubbe is a former Community Services Executive Director at Polokwane Municipality and has more than 35 years municipal experience being also the last town clerk of the city before the new local government dispensation commenced.
Marlene van Staden, Mayor of LIM 368 said that she was satisfied with the appointments. “It will be to the advantage of the municipality to have experienced and capable managers in place,” Van Staden said and added that the positions of Municipal Manager, Chief Financial Officer and the Managers of Technical Services and of Social Development will be advertised soon.
