The who’s who of Polokwane’s interior design community flocked to the opening of the Zee’s Interiors and Furnishers concept store in Nirvana last Thursday where they were joined by hundreds of guests who could not wait to see what this unparalleled store has to offer.
Co-owner Safraaz Suliman explained that the mega store was opened with the aim of having everything needed to create a perfect room, office or home under one roof. “We also have a professional interior designer on site who offers free consultations to our customers,” he said.
“Zee’s Interiors and Furnishers really is a one-stop shop where our customers are treated like kings and our prices are affordable. The days of people having to travel to Gauteng for access to specialised interior decorating items are over.”
The store offers a wide range of designer furniture, art work, décor items, wall paper, curtaining and soft furnishings, carpets and spectacular mirrors – to name a few.
The official opening of the store, situated at 13 Iran Avenue in Nirvana, started with Imam Hafiz Arshad reciting from the Holy Quoraan where after family friend and Master of Ceremonies for the evening, Faheem Khan, welcomed guests to the celebration.
Khan gave a quick overview of the store’s origin. “Zee’s Fabrics, owned by Shenaaz Khan, opened in Polokwane in 1991. In 2010 Safraaz opened the first of his furniture stores, Eurofurn and Italfurn, in the city. Last year the two businesses decided to join forces to create a unique interior design store that would surpass all others. This grand opening is the beginning of great new things and we all wish you only the best,” he said.
Suliman thanked every person who played a role in making the dream of a concept store a reality including suppliers and loyal customers. He singled out his family and the family of Shenaaz, whom he addressed separately, thanking her for her tremendous insets into the business. “I know that working together, we will only go from strength to strength,” he said.
Moulana Abdulah Egul closed the formalities with a prayer and Suliman encouraged all guests to explore the store and enjoy the evening.
Speaking to Polokwane Observer, Suliman said Zee’s Interiors in Mall of the North has been open for almost ten months now and the response from the public was tremendous. The concept store in Nirvana will work hand-in-hand with the store in the mall to give customers a complete service. “The store in the mall is smaller and will stock samples of what we have to offer, while the concept store in Nirvana will be more encompassing and will give people the opportunity to see the pieces that they are interested in, in a showroom environment. We created examples of specific areas and settings throughout the store and invite the public to visit us and find out how we can best serve them,” he said.
