The animals at the Polokwane SPCA will sleep softer and warmer this Festive Season thanks to a generous donation from Mall of the North.
Mari Delport, Mall of the North Marketing Manager, says the SPCA specifically asked for blankets and that the mall decided to add cat and dog food as well as toys to the bales of soft blankets that they donated recently.
“We consider this an early Christmas present and want to encourage to public to also donate to this worthy cause, especially with the festive season just around the corner,” she said.
Hennie de Kock, Manager of the SPCA in Polokwane, thanked Delport for the donation and said December holidays were especially tough on the charity as they receive more animals than usual and have to keep the animals until after the holidays before they can be put up for adoption in order for the owners to be able to return from holiday and claim their pets.
