Eight suspects on the run following cash-in-transit heist in Nkowankowa

The armed suspects attacked and robbed a security cash vehicle this morning.

LIMPOPO – Police spokesperson Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe says a group of armed suspects cornered the security cash vehicle after it collected money from a local petrol station.

“The suspects shot at the vehicle several times, injuring the driver, and took containers with an undisclosed amount of money and four firearms before fleeing the scene in two vehicles,” Ngoepe said.

The two vehicles are a white double cab Toyota bakkie (CPY 619 L) and a Silver Ford Focus with unknown registration numbers.

Anyone with information which may lead to the arrest of these suspects are urged to contact Lt Colonel Callie Smith at 082 451 7156; the nearest police station; the crime stop number 0860010111 or the crime line sms 32211.
