Roadworthy cars are the Dept of Transport’s priority this festive season

As part of the Department of Traffic's 365 operational plans the Limpopo Traffic Police Services will intensify inspections on motor vehicle fitness in order to ensure road worthiness of vehicles and safety on the roads.

POLOKWANE – The operations project will focus on road-worthiness of vehicles, driver fitness and driver fatigue. An additional 20 Provincial Traffic Police officers will be trained during November to supplement the current trained officers in operating the mobile vehicle testing centers.

The motor vehicle testing center can be used to test vehicle’s for road worthiness on any road.

The Department of Transport Limpopo is the proud owner of 5 mobile vehicle testing centers.

Motorists can expect these MVTC’S all over in the province as these centers are mobile.

It is against the law to drive a car that is not roadworthy. A quality Roadworthy Vehicle Certificate is a legal requirement that is compulsory on every vehicle in South Africa.
