Polokwane resident arrested on a charge of attempted murder

A woman was treated by emergency personnel for a gunshot wound.

POLOKWANE – Westenburg police spokesperson Sgt. Mpandeni Nkuna confirmed to Review, that a man was arrested in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday, 8 November 2017) for the shooting of a woman in a residential area outside Polokwane.

Nkuna said the police are investigating a case of attempted murder and he can confirm that a woman was treated for a gunshot wound by emergency personnel.

He added the man had not yet appeared in court and that the police investigations are continuing.

“More details will be made available as the investigation goes on,” he said.
