LIMPOPO – The manhunt follows the murder of a 41-year-old security guard, Matome Machete, in the Letsitele Policing area outside Tzaneen in December 2016.
Police spokesperson Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe explains Machete was riding a bicycle along the Tarrentaal and Giyani road near Bolobedu Cross, when he was stopped by five unknown men who were traveling with a motor vehicle with an unknown registration number.

The occupants of the car pretended to ask for directions to Ga-Ramotshinyadi village and subsequently shot Machete dead, robbed him of his firearm and fled the scene.

“The police reacted swiftly and a manhunt ensued until four suspects were arrested and Dlangamandla has since been on the run,” he said.
The suspect is said to be in and around Ermelo in Mpumalanga and also in Vosloorus and Soweto in Gauteng.
