[TAKE NOTE] Municipal office closure in December

The municipal offices will close for six working days from 20 to 29 December this year.

POLOKWANE – A proposal was tabled before Council on Friday that employees will have to apply for compulsory annual leave for a total of three working days: from 20 to 22 December and paid time-off will be granted to all employees for a total of three working days, 27 to 29 December. Supervisors, line managers and SBU managers will arrange time-off among sections that do not render essential services and those who do render essential services or direct service to the public.

All staff necessary to manage critical working areas such as waste management, traffic and licensing services, emergency services, community safety, fire services, water and sanitation services and community health services will be granted three working days during the course of the 2017/18 year.

Certain sections such as the rates hall, the Executive Mayor and Municipal Manager’s office, fleet management, disaster management, roads and storm water and others will be working with a skeleton staff.
