[WARNING: GRAPHIC IMAGE] Missing Egyptian national’s body found in shallow grave near Groblesdal

Three suspects, including a husband and wife have been arrested.

LIMPOPO – Police in Rakgoadi arrested the three suspects, between the ages of 24 and 41-years-old, for the murder which occurrred in Ditholong village.

According to police spokesperson Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe, the middle aged Egyptian man was attacked, killed and robbed of his motor vehicle by unknown suspects.

“The Police were notified and began with their initial investigations until the deceased was found killed and buried in a shallow grave in the bushes near the local river outside Leswena Game Farm,” he explained.

Ngoepe says the gruesome discovery follows the deceased’s disappearance in October 2017, which was reported at Marble Hall Police Station where a search operation ensued.

“The manhunt for the suspects involved in this brutal killing was conducted by a dedicated team of detectives and crime intelligence. During the arrest, the deceased’s car which was already being resprayed and the instruments used to kill the deceased were recovered.”

The suspects will appear before the Motetema Magistrate Court on Monday, 6 November, on charges of kidnapping, murder, roberry and possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle.

Police investigations continue.
