#WFD – Stuffed Turkey Rolls with Garlic and Wine Sauce

Serve the succulent turkey rolls with sauce.

POLOKWANE – Turkey meat is sold in various forms, including whole, prepackaged slices, breasts and thighs.

Health benefits of Turkey include being high in protein, a source of iron, zinc, potassium and phosphorus and it can help lower cholesterol levels.

What’s for Dinner says these stuffed turkey rolls are great served on a platter as a scrumptious snack or with a salad as a light meal.

Ingredients

  1. 4 turkey fillets
  2. 8 slices parma ham or bacon
  3. 8 sage leaves
  4. 15ml stork margarine, melted
  5. 1 x KNORR Creamy Garlic Sauce
  6. 150ml boiling water
  7. 100ml white wine

Method

  1. Place the turkey breasts in a sheet of greaseproof paper and pound with a meat mallet to flatten slightly, then cut each breast in half lengthwise.
  2. Trim the Parma ham or bacon to fit each piece of turkey and place on top of the turkey.
  3. Lay a sage leaf on top, roll up each turkey breast and secure with a toothpick.
  4. Brush with a little melted Stork margarine.
  5. Bake for about 20 min at 180°C or until cooked.
  6. Make up the KNORR Creamy Garlic Sauce by adding the boiling water and wine and stirring until thickened.
  7. Serve the turkey rolls with sauce.
