MOKOPANE – The Mogalakwena Local Municipality would like to remind and advice all you its esteemed clients to settle your outstanding electricity accounts to avoid being disconnected.
Mogalakwena Municipality is in the process of implementing Municipal Standard Chart of Accounts (MSCOA), a business reform that entails changing the way the municipality has always functioned.
In order for this exercise to be implemented successfully there is a need to do a process called data cleansing which requires that accounts are up to date. It is for this reasons above that the municipality is embarking on a disconnection drive.
The Mogalakwena Local Municipality values its people and therefore would not like to inconvenience you its esteemed clients hence this notice so that you can be able to avoid being disconnected. Clients are encouraged to approach the municipality to enter into a settlement arrangement
Please take note of the schedule of events in the table so that you are aware of when your area will be affected.
The process of disconnections is as stated in the table below:
Warnings 12 – 17 October: Mokopane old town to X 16, Mokopane X 18, Mokopane X 25. Mokopane X 99 and Akasia
Warning 23 – 25 October: Mahwelereng zone A, B and C, Mokopane X 17, Mokopane X 19, Farms and Rebone.
Disconnections follow-up 23-27 October: Mokopane old town to X 16, Mokopane X 18, Mokopane X 25, Mokopane X 99 and Akasia.
Disconnections follow-up 1-3 November: Mahwelereng zone A, Mahwelereng zone B, Mahwelereng zone C, Mokopane X 17, Mokopane X 19, Farms and Rebone.
Disconnection date 6-10 November: Mokopane old town to X 16, Mokopane X 18, Mokopane X 25, Mokopane X 99, Akasia, Mahwelereng zone A, B and C, Mokopane X 17, Mokopane X 19, Farms and Rebone.
