Olifantspoort Plant out of operation: reservoir levels low

The public is requested to continue using water sparingly until the situation is restored back to normal.

POLOKWANE – According to the Polokwane Municpality the reservoir levels have been negatively affected due to the downtime.

It will take a while for the reservoir levels to fill up and for the water situation to return to normal, says the municipality.

POLOKWANE – The municipality has received notification from Lepelle Northern Water that Olifantspoort plant is currently out of operation due to Specon pipeline burst.

According to the notification the estimated time for repairs will be more than seven hours and all areas of supply will be affected.

Areas to be affected include Zebediela, Lebowakgomo, Moletlane, Polokwane, Seshego, Ivy Park and Westernburg.

The public is requested to continue using water sparingly until the situation is restored back to normal.
