Case against Tumi Mokwena postponed

Mokwena is out on R10 000 bail following a shooting incident at Zebediela Citrus Estate in June.

POLOKWANE – The case including four murder charges, brought against local attorney Tumi Mokwena, will resume in the Lebowakgomo Magistrate’s Court on 24 November after being postponed on Friday, pending further investigations.

Council for the defense tried without success to stop a further postponement.

According to earlier reports, Mokwena had to flee the premises following a meeting with some employees at the estate.

Four people were injured in a shooting that followed.

Mokwena also opened a case against his attackers, but no steps have been taken yet to get the perpetrators before court.
