[WATCH] ‘Before you earn, you need to learn’

Lehlohonolo Thoabala, a motivational speaker, voice over artist and founder of The Motivational Drive.

POLOKWANE – Lehlohonolo encourages young entrepreneurs to read books in order to invest in their minds. “Everything we need is in books…..”

The Motivational Drive is a social cohesion entity fully committed to social transformation and human development.

In the video, Lehlohonolo encourages people to learn by reading books. “Books often have the solution to most problems people face on daily basis. Reading creates a mental resilience and will assist you in staying way ahead of the people in the room around you..”

He adds that it is also easy to pick up in a conversation when speaking to someone who does not read.”

Lehlohonolo also quoted a saying “Before you earn, you need to learn,” meaning one needs to do some theory before they can actually earn money they believe they deserve. He says the problem with young entrepreneurs is that they assume that a business will work only if you have money, however, skills, ideas and talents are the key element in making any business succeed.:

“For being successful in life, continue to take responsibility for your own learning and you will be successful in life.”

He encourages young entrepreneurs to put aside at least one hour a day in order to read a book. “By reading one hour a day, regardless of your perceived level of knowledge, you can become a world leading successful individual and also a role model in any subject in the future,” he advised.
