Manhunt for suspects in business robbery along N1

The Limpopo Police urge anyone with information regarding this incident to contact their nearest police station

LIMPOPO – Police have launched a manhunt for  a group of armed suspects who allegedly robbed a business near the N1 Capricorn tollgate at around 03:00 on Monday morning.

According to a statement issued by Police Spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe, it is alleged that three armed men wearing balaclavas and armed with rifles entered the shop in Bandelierkop and ordered the staff to lie down.

“During the incident the suspects ‘hacked the safe’ and attempted to blow it up using explosives, but failed and subsequently robbed the cashiers of two cellphones and a undisclosed amount of cash,” he said

The suspects fled the scene in a white Mercedez-Benz without registration plates, added Ngoepe.

The suspects are still unknown and anyone with information regarding this incident may contact their nearest police station. Alternatively they can contact the 24-hour crime stop number on 0860010111 or the crime SMS line on 32211.
