Police have launched a manhunt for suspects who allegedly forced a vehicle carrying nine Zimbabwe nationals off the road, robbed them of their money and killed one person on the N1 South outside Polokwane on Tuesday morning.
Provincial Police Spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe indicated that the group was travelling from Gauteng to Zimbabwe in a minibus when a group of suspects in a grey Toyota Avanza allegedly opened fire on the vehicle forcing it off the road. The driver reportedly lost control and drove into a ditch adjacent to the highway.
The suspects reportedly searched the minibus and its occupants and robbed them of their money before fleeing the scene. A 28-year-old man was killed.
