POLOKWANE – Last Thursday evening clients and other guests of Jaguar Land Rover Polokwane attended the official launch and introduction of its state-of-the-art dealership in the new Baobab Gardens development.
Land Rover Polokwane originally opened its doors 16 years ago at 64 Hans van Rensburg Street in the Central Business District (CBD) of Polokwane.
Casper Vorster, Managing Director of the MGM Group, says about 12 years ago he realised this locale cannot be the home of Jaguar Land Rover Polokwane forever and this is how the vision of a new dealership was born.
“After 12 years of planning and hard work by many parties involved, I am exceptionally proud to welcome everyone to the new home of Jaguar Land Rover Polokwane,” said Vorster.
This state-of-the-art building is not only a supreme accomplishment for the MGM Group but also the benchmark for all new dealerships within the Jaguar Land Rover motor group in South Africa.
“It gives me great pleasure to say the Jaguar Land Rover family in Polokwane has grown tremendously over the past 16 years and many of our guests have been part of the family from the very start. This is remarkable proof of their loyal support.”
Vorster says every customer can be assured each of the 66 employees of Jaguar Land Rover Polokwane wakes up and comes to work in the morning with their customers’ best interest at heart.
“A heartfelt word of appreciation to my co-director, Leonie, daughters, Leoné and Louise and my son, Casper Jr for their ongoing selfless support through the years of negotiations and endless meetings to plan this new dealership.”
Vorster also expresses his gratitude to a number of people who made the existence of the new Baobab Gardens development and the Jaguar Land Rover Polokwane Dealership a dream come true.
“I thank Shafik Jardine for the role he played with the development of this piece of land to help us make this dream a reality. Schalk van der Merwe from Prism Architects who stood by my side for more than 10 years while we explored every opportunity for a new dealership. What you and your colleagues have created here is an extraordinary achievement.
“This new dealership does not only make Polokwane proud, but also Jaguar Land Rover South Africa,” Vorster added.
