Don’t forget to fill up, petrol will increase again at midnight

The price of petrol will rise by between 25 and 29 cents per litre from the 4th of October.

POLOKWANE – The Department of Energy announced on Monday that a litre of 95 octane petrol will cost R14.01 inland and R13.52 at the coast from Wednesday.

The price of a litre of 93 octane petrol will be increasing by 25c and a litre of 95 octane will go up by 29c.

A litre of diesel will cost R12.12 inland and R11.74 at the coast and the price of illuminating paraffin will rise by 39c/litre.

The Automobile Association of South Africa says this month’s figures show just how vulnerable South African fuel users are to stronger fuel prices and Rand depreciation.

“Stronger international oil prices, and a weakening Rand, will combine to drive fuel prices higher at the end of September,” it added.
