Spring and Casual Day at Bana Ba Thari

Bana Ba Thari Special School in Solomondale area celebrated Casual Day 2017 and the arrival of spring last Friday.
The theme, ‘Celebrate diversity with people with disability’, was observed by staff members and learners alike in a festive atmosphere. Educator Regie Mabitsela said the intellectually impaired learners performed the legendary musical Sarafina in front of an appreciative audience of community members. Another popular item was the singing of gospel songs. Mabitsela also said that they had played netball and indigenous games with them which everyone enjoyed.
