POLOKWANE – Nationally there is only enough blood left for 2.3 days, with very low levels for blood groups AB-, O+ and O-.
Dottie Pinn, public relations officer at the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) Limpopo, has urged readers to donate blood.
“Not having enough blood has a huge impact on treatments at hospitals and operations, as these cannot go on if there is not enough blood available. Everyone that wants to donate can visit the Polokwane Donor Centre in Potgieter Avenue to donate blood, or any other mobile clinic.”
