Hopeful young girls entering the Polokwane Observer Cover Girl 2018 competition before Monday are guaranteed added coverage in the form of being considered for the Public Choice award.
Currently Cover Girl fever is running high as Pageant Director Katryn Celliers is receiving entries from across the province. The entrants’ photos will be published in Polokwane Observer on 14 September.
The annual search is on for a face who can stop traffic and make heads turn, coupled with a good dose of gusto, general knowledge and a passion for reaching out to her community. Girls between the ages of 4 and 24 from anywhere in the country are called on to enter.
This year’s grand prize for the overall public choice award, chosen from the five different age categories and based on voting by text, is a four-day trip to Durban to a beach shoot with Limpopo Beauty Modelling Academy. The prize is inclusive of flights and accommodation.
Entries close on 6 October and entrants should take note of a free modelling workshop and meeting that day. The finals will be held at Meropa Casino and Entertainment World on 7 October. Questions can be directed to Celliers on 078 371 0909.
