The sweet aroma of spring petals was in the air when winter blues were banished with a festivity to welcome a new season at a private venue in Polokwane on Saturday.
For the occasion a group of women gathered for sustained conversation mostly revolving around the occasional tea ceremony and sweet or savoury treats.
Turquoise and pink paired with antique tea cups, French porcelain platters laden with chocolate and other sugary temptations, single servings of summer salads, fresh fruit and cheese on a table scape dressed in white embroidered cloth.
The singular conversation piece constituted flowers from the garden positioned in vessels and under a cloche on a glass rectangle, placed over a printer’s tray bearing a collection of treasured glass beads.
The elements entered into a playful dance for a themed soiree that eventually extended well into the early evening, guests parting only with the promise of the invitation to be repeated.
