For many people spring is a season of renewal and new beginnings. The annual ritual of spring cleaning is part of this tradition and a fresh coat of paint is often the best way to brighten up a room after all the cobwebs have been cleared.
Jannie de Jonge Manager of Paint Pot Polokwane, says the latest trends among his customers are bright colours that not only remind people of spring, but bring it into their homes and offices.
“We see a lot of people buying lime green, purple, orange, yellow and even red. People are not afraid of using striking colours in their homes anymore. Those who are more conservative stick to one signature colour on one focus wall. Others are bolder and use bright colours throughout their homes and offices, creating spaces that suit their personalities,” he says.
According to De Jonge there is, however, still a very strong trend towards earthy and neutral colours. “I do not think that colours like cashmere, sand, clay and greys will ever completely go out of fashion. A neutral palette allows for more freedom when it comes to interior decorating and changing accent colours.”
All of these colours and more are available at Paint Pot Polokwane situated at 17 Kobalt Street in Nirvana.
