Muni still working to restore electricity supply to affected areas in CBD

The municipality has apologised for any inconvenience caused

POLOKWANE -The municipality says residents and businesses along Burger, Jorrisen, Magazyn and Plein Streets will still be without power for the most part of the day due to repairs on the blown transformer.

“The municipality continues with the replacement of the minisubstation/transformer that was blown yesterday (Tuesday). This will affect supply of electricity to the streets above for about eight hours,” the municipality says.

The technicians will do their best to minimise the down time. The municipality apologises for the inconvenience caused.


POLOKWANE –  The municipality says a transformer at the corner of Plein and Jorissen Street blew up some time during the day, today, 5 September.

Technicians are currently busy with repairs.

“A generator is being connected for temporary supply to the area affected, as technicians are repairing/replacing the transformer,” the Municipality said.

The municipality has apologised for the delayed notification and the inconvenience caused.
