Botlokwa Special School celebrate Spring Day in Polokwane
The school, along with their teachers, visited the city to celebrate and share their talent and skills with the people of Polokwane.
POLOKWANE – The day trip was organised by the Assistant Educator at Botlokwa Special School, Moloko Musamadi.
The trip also gave the learners an opportunity to make profit off the products the learners produced.
Moloko says they were impressed at how many things their learners managed to sell. “We began celebrating this event at our school premises on Friday and we also sold some of the vegetables and cookies to some people in the area, we later embarked to Polokwane to also do the same,” Musamadi added.
Musamadi says making profit was the least of the school’s worries as their aim was to show Polokwane that Botlokwa Special School learners are highly talented, and that being disabled doesn’t mean you’re limited.
The school had also organised with different shop owners in Seshego, for the learners to perform or sell on their grounds.
“We hope the people of Seshego would share our beautiful and creative Spring Day story and when they come to Botlokwa one day, we will definitely return the favour, and they are more than welcome to also come to our school,” Musamadi concluded.
