Four die in bakkie crash outside Thohyandou
The identities of all the deceased as well as the exact cause of the accident are still unknown at this stage.
LIMPOPO – Four people died and three seriously injured after a Toyota double cab bakkie crashed into a tree outside Thohoyandou on Sunday morning.
It is alleged the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the tree at around 05:00 this morning, said Police Spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe.
“Four people including the driver were killed instantly. Three people sustained serious injuries and were taken to the Elim Hospital for medical treatment.”
The identities of all the deceased as well as the exact cause of the accident are still unknown at this stage he confirmed.
The Waterval Police Station is investigating a case of culpable homicide, he concluded.
