MOKOPANE – This initiative aims to alleviate human suffering and foster human dignity in all communities by addressing the basic needs of the people. Land Rover collected essential items in its ‘Hope Boxes’ with the deliveries going to Red Cross charities.
As part of its ongoing work for the programme, the Land Rover Mokopane dealer principal Wallace Goosen and sales assistant Lorinda Coetsee helped their staff and ambassadors to change the lives of the less fortunate at Phola Park village in Mokopane.
The campaign was very successful and Red Cross had the opportunity to hand deliver some of the items to households identified by the Mogalakwena Football for Hope Centre Orphans and Vulnerable Children project.
Goosen pledged that the Land Rover Mokopane dealership will have a #Hope Box throughout the year to collect donations of non-perishable food, toiletries, clothing and blankets.
“Our aim is to help people make more of the world they live in and bring hope to thousands of South African’s.”
This programme was a huge success in 2016 where 14 326 items were distributed. Land Rover hopes to do even better this year.
