LIMPOPO – The famous actress of Skeemsaam, Shoki Sebotsane known as Shiela, want to motivate the youth of Limpopo.

Sebotsane who was appointed as public relations officer of the Limpopo Artist Movement (L.A.M) will motivate the youth of Limpopo.

The Chairperson of L.A.M, Mphoza Mashabela said he is so excited that Sebotsane decided to take hands with L.A.M. “We want to make a difference in the youths lives and who better to do it with than a well known actress?”

Mashabela explained: “Under my own company Mphoza Entertainment we will run this non profitable project with schools.”

The entry fee to attend these motivation days will be R20 per student and the company will donate R5 from each R20 back to the school.

“This donations can be used to assist students with better study methods or teaching.”

During the interview with Sebotsane, she eagerly told Bosveld of the plans she and L.A.M have.

“Through this program we want to reach as many students as possible, we want to warn the youth about the consequences of teenage pregnancies, drugs and also want to motivate them and teach them how to cope in the mainstream.”

According to Sebotsane it is not necessary that you stay behind when you grow up in the rural area.

“It is in anyone’s ability to get well above and beyond his circumstances. There are a wealth of opportunities in the arts, there are just too many to mention.

“Take myself, I come from a small rural town near Tzaneen, and I did not allow it to keep me back.

“I simply did not accept that my destiny lies in the dirt roads somewhere in a rural town, I want to give back to the youth my knowledge and experience. That’s the least I can do.”
