Allen Phago, 25, the accused in the fatal stabbing of Grade 10 learner, Mabetha Rakgate from Hoër Tegniese Skool Tom Naudé late last month, is expected back in court on 29 September.
Phago was granted bail of R1 000 by the Seshego Magistrate’s Court last Monday. Seshego Police Spokesperson Mothemane Malefo confirmed Phago’s appearance and said he will be back in court on 29 September.
Phago briefly appeared in court two days after the incident on 23 July when Mabetha was reportedly stabbed with a knife at a party held in the vicinity of Kwena Moloto, Seshego.
Provincial Police Spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe then indicated that an argument had allegedly ensued between Mabetha and the accused resulting in Mabetha being fatally wounded.
