Olifantspoort plant temporarily shut down to allow for repairs on Specon line

Parts of Polokwane and Seshego may experience low water pressure or no water, warns the muni

POLOKWANE – Parts of Polokwane and Seshego may experience low water pressure or no water due to a shutdown at the Olifantspoort Plant today (Wednesday).

A notification sent from Lepelle Northern Water has stated that the plant is not currently pumping water to the city and surrounding areas due to a pipe burst along the Specon line, reports the Polokwane Municipality.

“The repairs are expected to last around seven hours.

The public is advised to use water sparingly during this period to avoid shortages.
