[WATCH] Disteneng land invaders evicted

POLOKWANE – The Polokwane Municipality is currently on site to remove the people who have been living in Disteneng illegally.

According to the municipality, the residents were given the notice to vacate on 17 July 2017, however, on Wednesday 19 July 2017, residents took to the street in protest and blocked Nelson Mandela Drive between Vermikuliet and Legae La Batho robot.

A statement released by the Municipality says the area site is earmarked for integrated human settlements where low,medium and high income housing ,social housing and businesses will be constructed by the appointed service provider.
