LIMPOPO – Tshehla was re-arreted on Monday night, 24 July, at Sephaku village in Hlogotlou while in hiding.
His arrest followed a tip-off from the community.
Police spokesperson Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe says Tshehla will appear before the Motetema Magistrates Court on a charge of escaping lawful custody and on his original multiple charges of rape.
Tshehla recently escaped from lawful custody in Motetema, outside Groblesdal after faking his identity as that of another suspect.

He was arrested for a rape case, which he committed in 2016.
He was later linked to five more rape cases which he committed during 2014 in which he targeted 16-year-old girls.
Ngoepe says police investigations will continue.
