Man shot and killed in Tubatse during apparent carjacking

Police have launched a manhunt for the suspects

LIMPOPO – The 52-year-old man was shot in Ga-Matodi village late on Sunday evening, 23 July.

The deceased’s family heard the gunshots and immediately contacted the police.

“The police found the deceased laying in a pool of blood with gunshot wounds and his car was missing,” said police spokesperson Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe.

The motive behind the murder is not clear at this stage although, Ngoepe says a carjacking may not be ruled out.

“The deceased was identified as Daniel Ramaepadi and the suspects fled the scene with his Cherverolt Spark (DNK 544 L).”

No arrests have been made yet and the suspects are still unknown.

Anyone with information about the suspects in this matter are urged to contact the nearest police station; the crime stop number 08600 10 111 or the crime line sms 32211.
