All in the spirit of Tata Madiba

Residents in Mokopane spent their 67 minutes for Mandela Day doing various good deeds around the community.

MOKOPANE – Mandela Day was definitely a day to remember in Mokopane and its surrounding villages as many businesses and organisations left their footprints during the 67 minutes they served the community.

Here are some of the beautiful memories that was made with the theme, Action Against Poverty.

The community, correctional services and staff and learners of Gojela High School in Mahwelereng Zone 1 cleaned the school yard to assure a healthy environment on Mandela Day.

Dancers put smiles on the faces of the disable people at Bangwanale Disabled Poject Centre’s.
Some of the children and teachers at Trapklippies Daycare Centre donated food to the animals at the
Percy Fyfe SPCA. These animals will sure be happy with any amount of food received. Here is Elise Jansen (owner), Willem de Beer, Danelle Erasmus and Hendrik Niemand standing proud.
The Staff of Debtsafe Mokopane held a fundraising as part of their Extra Mile Project at the company. This project will also continue during the year and is placing the focus on their fellow colleagues. Through this initiative staff can anonymously identify colleagues or any person who needs help in their circumstances.
Speelparadys Leersentrum and After School collected canned food and clothes to give to the Mokopane Noodforum. Here is Eulogia de Wet (Social worker), Annabelle Stigling, Natalie Smith, Laura-Lee Stigling, Desiré Landsberg and Liana Landsberg (teacher).
The Limpopo Traffic Department visited Bangwanale Disabled Project Centre in Tsamahansi Village and made sure to fill these special people’s hearts with joy as they danced and played soccer with them. They also gave them beads to wear as a special appreciation gift. The community also joined in for a funfilled day.
