POLOKWANE – Metalixis Manufacturing and Distribution is here to keep your children busy and entertained during the school holiday as they design, make and assemble steel jungle gyms and outdoor playing equipment especially for children to play in at home.
The company was established in 2013 and Marketing Manager Dolphine Ramphele, told BONUS the company started to grow toward the end of 2015.
“In 2016 our marketing improved as we had a much better customer percentage targeting our store,” Ramphele said.
The company’s aim is to fulfill every girl or boy’s childhood dream and to create memories through fun playing.
“Our main focus and target is schools, crèches and party function venues. We do displays at malls and test rides for children whose parents are interested to see how the apparatus works and if the children are comfortable while playing on them. We have to consider the too cautious or protective parents who must choose the most comfortable equipment and the ones they feel are safe for their children. We also rent our jungle gyms out for parties and functions,” he added.
Ramphele explains they have four jungle gym assemblers who manufacture the playing equipment from scratch. The company buys the material and the assemblers connect them, paint them with gloss-paint to give them a shinier look and feel and they are ready for play.
“The jungle gyms last for about two to three years and will remain in good condition for even longer if they are taken good care of,” he explained.
Metalixis is situated at Plot 65, Leeuwkuil just outside Polokwane, on the Ga-Mashashane road.
“Our guys are doing very well, they are professional and well-qualified and build at least five jungle gyms per day. We also customise the jungle gyms for individuals who prefer them customised. The parents show us a picture and we make them exactly as per the customer’s specifications. We are glad to be of service.”
