LIMPOPO – A manhunt has been launched by police in Seselamani, near Malamulele outside Giyani.
Police spokesperson Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe says the murder occurred in the Xikundu village at around 19:00.
“The deceased has been identified as Nare Beanice Malebana, a gr 12 learner at Jim Chavani High School in Xikundu village,” Ngoepe said.
Malebana was attacked in her home by an unknown number of suspects.
The suspects shot her several times before fleeing the scene while her mother managed to escape from the house unharmed.
“The motive behind this incident is still unknown but police investigations will determine why she was killed,” Ngoepe said.
