Paledi Segapo brings ‘PALSE’ating fashion to Polokwane

Paledi will be at Sun Meropa this weekend for a Fashion Show hosted by Limpopo Fashion Week.

POLOKWANE – Designers will have designer pop-up stores/stands on the floor on Friday at 12:00pm and on Saturday, the designers will showcase their designs between 17:30pm – 20:00pm at Sun Meropa, where Paledi will be in and among the designers.

Well known as the founder and creative director of the fashion label PALSE, Paledi is also an award winning fashion designer\creative entrepreneur.

He embarked his career within the fashion industry in 2007 and in 2010 he left the corporate sector to pursue a career as a creative entrepreneur.

In 2011, he began consulting for established local designers and was a contributor for various magazines including True Love, as a fashion columnist and fashion editor for Jozi Beat magazine.

In 2012, he was awarded Creative Entrepreneur of The Year during the iKusasa Awards.

Paledi holds a Master of Business in Leadership (MBL) degree through UNISA School of Business in Leadership (SBL). His MBL dissertation is based on Gauteng Growth Strategies within the Fashion Enterprise.

The brand PALSE was launched in 2010 and is now a prominent part of SA Fashion Week and SA Men’s Wear Week.

PALSE fashion brand has previously showcased in London, Paris and Switzerland, as well as many other African countries.

Multi award winner, singer Donald is the official ambassador for PALSE and is the only singer in SA to have won Best Dressed Artist at the METRO FM Music Awards.

Paledi was recently invited to Ghana to showcase at the annual Rhythmz On The Runway fashion show, and with his first showcase for this event, Paledi executed an all-white story, titled “SOLID”, to reference Ghana’s 60th independence celebrations.

Paledi first showcased in the country back in 2015 at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.

“Being afforded the opportunity to visit the country again is an honour. This is a huge marketing platform to increase PALSE brand presence, visibility and accessibility. It makes business sense to take my brand to other African countries,” he added.

Paledi says he loves nothing more than to groom young designers looking to make in within the industry. “Our industry is a very competitive one and very hard to crack. So if I can do my bit to make it that much easier for young creatives I’m more than happy to do so,” he added.

Tickets available at House of Asante, 29 Jorissen Street, Polokwane and cost R250 per person.
