‘Serious leak’ may cause water shortage in Polokwane

The Municipality says the Ebenezer plant line to Polokwane has been shutdown for repairs

POLOWKANE – These repairs could take up to eight hours for the leak to be fixed.

The municipality has also advised the public that the shutdown will affect all areas supplied from Ebenezer such as Mamabolo, Mankweng and the city reservoirs.

The other challenge is that one of the pumpstationd from Olifants to Polokwane, is off due to electricity and the matter is receiving attention.

“This may affect the Seshego area and lower areas of Polokwane as they are currently being supplied through Penina Park off take,” the municipality said.

Residents are advised to use water sparingly to avoid negative or adverse impact on water levels.

Lepelle Northern Water is doing all possible to have the repairs completed as soon as possible.
