CDM requesting sponsors for #MandelaDay events
Mandela Day gives everyone the opportunity to heed the call to action for people to recognise their individual power to make an imprint and change the world around them.
In July every year, South Africa celebrates former presidents Nelson Mandela’s birthday. 19 July has been declared Nelson Mandela International Day, but as South Africans we embrace the chance to celebrate Nelson Mandela’s life for the whole of July.
As Capricorn District Municipality, every year we work closely with our business partners in making sure that we make everyday a Mandela Day by contributing 67 minutes of your time to help those in need. CDM will be hosting and participating in the Provincial Mandela Day to be held at Moletjie on 18 July. On 26 July, the Executive Mayor, Cllr J Mpe will host a district Mandela Day dedicated at creating a conducive environment for our children. The district Mandela event will take place at Ga Mamatsha – G Molepo.
For the provincial event, CDM is requesting for a sponsorship on the following: food parcels, blankets, educational books and toys, plastic chairs, garden tools and sanitary accessories.
For the District Mandela Day on 26 July, we have identified a hall which is being used as a mini creche and pensioners pay-point. The infrastructure needs to be refurbished and a mini park for the children needs to be created in the area. For the district event, CDM is requesting for a sponsorship on the following:
