Cattle stolen, slaughtered outside Giyani

The Hlanganani Police are looking for stock theft suspects following the discovery of slaughtered cattle found outside Giyani early this morning (Monday).

LIMPOPO – According to reports the suspected stolen cattle had slaughtered near Masakona village last night, when a passerby noticed cattle meat hanging in the bushes early this morning and notified the police.

Police Spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe says the members arrived at the scene to find a large group of residents surrounding a vehicle with a Gauteng registration number. “The suspects had been forced to flee the scene on foot leaving behind the said vehicle which was loaded with nine cattle heads and meat,” he adds.

A case of stock theft has been opened and police investigation continue.
